TC Math breaks down complex math concepts into manageable pieces. Students master one piece at a time with the help of stepbystep instruction, building a solid foundation upon which each subsequent unit is built. This combination of specific skill instruction and ongoing assessment is the key to shaping, enriching, and maintaining math proficiency for students of all ability levels.
What is a TC Math Session Like?

Computational Fluency
Students master basic operations (+, , ×, ÷) in a timed setting. Tutors offer strategies for mastering these operations, including mnemonic devices, auditory and visual instruction, and storytelling.

Concept Building
After a brief assessment to determine their level of understanding of certain concepts, students are guided through stepbystep instruction. Tutors scaffold their instruction, tapering their teaching gradually, until students achieve independent mastery of the concept.

Homework Support
Every session includes an opportunity to ask questions, review assignments, and complete lessons that coincide with the homework from school.
Math Programs 1st8th
Tutoring Club's math program analyzes the skills your child has missed or not comprehended in school. It allows students to go back and build the foundation needed for success in basic math. This foundation is critical for understanding of Algebra and Geometry.
Math Fundamentals
Grades 13
Math facts are the building blocks for all future math skills. We will help your child memorize these important facts with speed and accuracy. Program will also focus on:
 Number Sense
 Addition / Subtraction
 Multiplication / Division
Common Core Focus
 Area Models
 Decomposition
 Number Lines
 Word Problems
Grades 46
By the end of 6th grade, students need to have mastered their basic math skills. At this point, they should be ready to move into new mathematical territory with PreAlgebra.
If they haven't mastered the basics, however, their future success in math becomes highly problematic.
A comprehensive assessment will determine the appropriate starting point for your child. An individual program will then be created, which will include the following math fundamentals:
 Multiplication/Division
 Fractions/Decimals
 Ratios, Proportions, and Percentages
 Integers/Number Sense
 Word Problems
Common Core Focus
 Base Tens
 Standard Algorithms
 Expanded Form
 Arrays
 Place Value
 Area and Table Models
 Properties
 Composing/Decomposing
Middle School Math
The transition from basic math to Algebra is a critical time for students. The mastery of PreAlgebra skills is mandatory for a successful transition to Algebra/Math 1 and high school math. A solid understanding of fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, proportions, and integers are a must!
The first step is a thorough math assessment to determine if there are any gaps in a student's math foundation.
We offer homework support and test prep for:
 PreAlgebra/Algebra
 Math 7/Math 8
 Math 1/Enhanced Math 1
Common Core Focus
Our approach is "in sync" with the Common Core curriculum. We help students gain strong foundations and a solid understanding of concepts, and the ability to apply the math they know to solve problems.

Testimonials

Tutoring club is great. My daughter says that she "gets it" when they teach her the math. She loves that she gets most of her homework done and done correctly.

Just after one session my son is already more confident with his math skills at school and at home. The Tutoring Club has patient & positive instructors who keep my son motivated to learn. My son actually looks forward to his weekly classes!

Our son had never had confidence in math and now considers himself a good math student. I appreciate the patience and kindness shown to him every day. Kudos!
